Princess Academy, by Shannon Hale, is about a girl named Miri. She, her father and sister live on he slopes of Danland. Miri is an extremely courageous girl. In addition she has a crush on a boy named Peder. She has long dark brown hair and sparkling gray eyes. She is always trying to fit in with the other kids and unexpectedly she makes a friend at the academy. She always wanted to make a difference in Mount Eskel an here is here chance. One day knights came on Mount Eskel with a proclamation saying the prince is going to marry a girl from Danland of a certain age. So Miri must now go to the princess academy so that she has a chance to marry the prince.At the academy, she faces many problems such as getting punishmentsAs I was reading the book I kept on wondering what would happen next. I just couldn’t stop reading and it was like everything was happening right in front of me. My favorite part was when gives the courage to everyone to the spring fair.I think girls that like reading and have a high reading level would like this book because it has314 pages also because the words in this book are very complicated.
