Arthur and the Minimoys

By Luc Besson

Book Review Posted By Henry Forrest

Arthur, an adventurous boy, was so into finding his grandpa’s treasure he hardly knew that the family was being thrown out of the house. He is also very eager to help by selling a map! But he is so careless he hardly notices that the map leads to treasure, and a lot of missions which he finds before the house gets sold.

The book, if you have seen the title, is about the Minimoys. The book is also about a mean person named Davido who has tried to take over the land countless times. This time, he has actually succeeded. The family now only has 3 days before they are to give up the land. And to make matters worse, Arthur has found a tribe in the backyard, and gets has lots of missions to finish. He will make it in time, right?

Well, I’d say that this book definitely has action, and not too much of it. This book has comedy as well, and not so much of it, at least in the first 80 pages. You can expect a few emotions to be in the book, too. The book also has a habit of turning tasks tedious fast. Well, the Minimoy tasks at least.

I would say that I am not like Arthur, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying this book. I recommend this book from 2nd to 7th grade, but you can decide. Also, I recommend you try hard to make a picture in your head when you read this book. It will be hard to make a picture in your head about the Minimoys.

Well, this book review is about over, but it wouldn’t be over until I told you about the author. Luc Besson is an acclaimed screenwriter, but seems to be more acclaimed for his 2 books. He has written another book called Arthur and the Forbidden City, where the Arthur series continues. But, this is his only other book, so don’t ask for more info unless you want to find out about PG-13 films I don’t understand. Have fun reading!
